Bromine is very corrosive in nature.It reacts violently with water and it is the normal reation.Hence it is adviced to use Safety gel - B for Bromine burns instead of washing with water in the affected area.Technically this product supplies plenty of Sodium ions which attract Bromine and form simple water washable salts, nullyfying the effect of Bromine
